- “A few weeks after he was caught, he came to our Casino with 4 brief cases of $250,000 each and said “I’m not leaving until the sign outside says ‘(insert players name) Casino'”. Super upbeat and happy guy. Really nice to the dealers. After 5 hours, my shift was over.
- Two riverboat casinos (unoccupied) in Bayou La Batre have broken loose, and have ran into the docks. This is an ongoing situation.
BAYOU LA BATRE, Ala. — Two large casino boats broke loose Tuesday from a dock where they were undergoing construction work in Alabama as Hurricane Sally approached the Gulf Coast.
M.J. Bosarge lives near the Bayou La Batre shipyard and says at least one of the riverboats had done considerable damage to the dock.
“You really want to get them secured because with wind and rain like this, the water is constantly rising,” Bosarge said. “They could end up anywhere. There’s no telling where they could end up.”
Bosarge said this is particularly concerning because there are dozens of shrimp and other commercial fishing boats docked there, including ones his family runs.
“It could cause a lot of damage if something of that caliber got loose and headed this way,” he said.

Casino Breaks Loose In Lake Charles
The Isle of Capri riverboat casino in Lake Charles broke from its mooring overnight and floated away, wedging itself under the I-10 bridge, according to a report received by Louisiana State Police. The accident happened after a towboat hauling the 12 barges on the Mississippi River crashed into a bridge near the Gateway Arch, causing four of the barges to break loose. The high bid was at $175,000 at the time the auction was ended, according to the Bodnars Auction website. Opened in 1984, Trump's former casino was closed in 2014 and has fallen into such a state.
