The D Las Vegas is located in the center of the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas. It was once known as Fitzgeralds. It opened in 1980 as the Sundance Casino. It was acquired by Derek and Greg Stevens, owners of Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, a block west on Fremont Street, in 2011. It was quickly remodeled with a modern theme in the downstairs casino. A more historic theme was implemented in the second floor casino.
- The property features 629 contemporary rooms and suites, showroom with daily entertainment, multiple dining restaurants, Vegas' only two-level casino, and numerous high-energy bars. Whatever the reason for your visit, the D Las Vegas Casino Hotel is an excellent choice for your stay in Las Vegas.
- The D casino has a great vibe! The music playing on the 1st level is energetic. There are beautiful dancing dealers on tables in the table gaming areas, plenty of friendly waitstaff, quick service and a huge assortment of great slot machines.

1145 reviews of The D Casino Hotel 'Say goodbye to the Fitzgerald's and give a warm welcome to Las Vegas's hottest new Hotel & Casino, The D!!! The D stands for Downtown, Derek (Derek Stevens, one of the owners who also owns the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino at the other end of Fremont Street), and Detroit, a nod to Derek's home town. Although I didn't stay in the hotel, the casino has already.
